Christmas Round-up! Easy, Delicious and Homemade. Week #3.....

There are busy times ahead my friends! But we still need to eat, have gifts ready and use some of our time for fun, these links just might help. Each one is tried and true, homemade and often gift-worthy. Oh and a few make a good meal too!

You can find the first week's group of interesting and helpful items right here.

And you can find the second week's group of interesting and helpful items right here.

And now, week three collection:

For an easy and different dessert make up this Orange Dream Cake. As the recipe says, it does call for a cake mix, not something I use often, but when I do, I look on the label and choose one that does not have hydrogenated fats. Add a bit of cranberry sauce and this will be delicious as well as festive.

Orange Dream Cake. Cooks wisdom:  Use double measure of the orange juice concentrate in the glaze, that extra orange zing will go great with the cranberry flavor.

Do you have a "foodie" on your gift list? Do you want to make their gift more personal than a gift certificate to the local cookwares shop? Here are a couple of items that you can (literally) buzz up quickly. These will go nicely in a food basket gift or be the gift itself.....

Tomato Serendipity  Cooks wisdom: make a double batch, it is that good!

Mustard dressed up like Sunday best! Cooks wisdom:  Share a recipe to use this with, the Truffled Oil Infused Mustard Chicken with Apricots, comes to mind, you can find it here. Of course this mustard is good on everything, it won't last long.

Since everyone will be hungry, solve that by planning to be ahead of the game. Take a few minutes in the morning to get this put together and when you come home, dinner is done!

Cheeseburger Scalloped Potatoes. Cooks wisdom:  This is a mild dish, feel free to up the onions and cheese. PS, leftovers heat up beautifully.

Bar cookies are a blessing! They are just as delicious as drop cookies, and so easy. Just what a busy home needs to make sure there are enough cookies for everyone!

Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Triangles (or bars). Cooks wisdom:  this recipe was originally a splenda recipe, feel free to sub in splenda, if you are making treats for those on special diets.

This cheesecake is not too sweet, not too rich and intended for breakfast.......yep breakfast!

Blueberry Breakfast Cheesecake. Cooks wisdom:  While this does reheat, it is best served fresh from the oven.

We hope you have found a recipe or gift idea to make your holiday a bit easier.

As always, thanks for taking a minute to stop and say hello. We appreciate your time and your wonderful comments!
