Saturday in the yard

Our backyard patio slab was a holding place for all things outdoors. Moving has a way of re-purposing one area for another, like a patio for a storage area.

Task number one, cut out the sod, install cement blocks to "build" a platform for the BBQ.

Task number two, move BBQ and smoker.

I have 4 more blocks for the smoker to be on a platform, however I am out of energy......tomorrow is another day.

Task number three, sweep the patio.

Task number four, hang a welcome sign at the door, and place a welcome mat for wiping off your feet.

Task number five, make a comfortable place to sit.

My "Forman" needed to inspect the finished job........

He suggested that I remove the weeds from the cracks, and edge the slab. What a slave driver!

This was the finishing touch, now this is my home, not just a house.

As always, thanks for taking a moment to stop and say hello. I appreciate your time and your wonderful comments!
