This compost structure was put together, 5 pallets, some wire and a cross board to stabilize the whole thing. It is movable (empty of course) and if it does not work well in the current location, that is easy to change. The solid slat side shows to the yard where we sit, visit and enjoy the outdoors.
The rest of the cut wood, got moved! This was a big chore and fortunately it was completed before noon when the heat started in for the day.
I also finished out the flowerbed, by adding 5 large perennials to what was already there. I regrouped the carnations into a triangle shape so I could add the foxglove to the left side.
The other group of 3 (lower left) were also regrouped into a triangle to make room for a Delphinia. In the back in the green pot, is a chive that was given to me when I answered a craigslist ad for free iris tubers.
The rest of the bed was completed with a lavender plant and the the beauty to the right (sorry, I am sooo bad with flower names). You may notice that all the items still have the nursery name tag, maybe I will get out there and memorize what I have......
Two bags of purple iris tubers. These will be used to make a nice border along the street side of the front yard. I have been very fortunate in maintaining a frugal ceiling to landscape the yard at the new house.
As always, thanks for taking a moment to stop and say hello. I appreciate your time and your comments!
