I know, in truth it looks like a mess. And it is, a mess of cookbooks. I have been a bit busy with work, helping family and a little catering, so the cookbooks have been waiting patiently to be added first to the Cookbook list and then to the shelf.
Here are some highlights of what is on that table.
This stack gets to have the grand dame of cookbook on top, joy of cooking. This was a birthday present to the prior owner, the year was 1968.
This stack holds some fun titles, and the one I will cook from next. Stay tuned for Whoopie Pies! Yep, we are going to be making up a batch of fun this weekend. I have been searching for a Whoopie Pie recipe that did not list hydrogenated shortening, and I found it right here.
This stack includes my second Rick Rogers cookbook. I must have known I would come up with a fondue cookbook, because I picked up a fondue pot the last time they were on sale. Perfect timing I would say!

More books for your shelf! That is nice! Having an additional cookbook always bring a satisfied smile to cookbooks addicts like me! Can never have enough of cookbooks, can we? :)
We used to have a fondue night once a month when I was growing up and I always looked forward to it. The other day I was in a thrift store and there were at least 12 fondue pots on the shelf. Brings back great memories. Would love to see you do some fondue, I might just have to buy one.
Wow, Melynda - 350 titles - that's pretty impressive. Sorry I missed your Cookbook Sundays while I was away, but I have a whole new stash of cookbooks just purchased so looking forward to joining in next time.

Marshmallow Fluff cookbook, how cool! I could use that as I have a jar in my cupboard. Or I could always make another batch of s'more ice cream. Have a great weekend Melynda!
I love the joy of cooking book but that marshmellow book you showed looks very interesting and super delicious! My favorite book right now is Southern Foodways Alliance!
Too funny, my Joy of Cooking looks about the same; well used! A cook can never have too many cookbooks and it sounds like you have an awesome collection!
Oh how I adore cookbooks. can't wait to see how your whoopie pies turn out!
I have given all my cook books to my kids now I wish I kept some, but its fun to make up my own recipes, the cookbooks were always just a guide to adapt to our family taste.
Wonderful! I love cookbooks! Especially Marshmallow Fluff cookbook!!
Wow, what a wonderful collection! It's almost as though they each hold their own secrets other than recipes!
You are the cookbook queen! I love the marshmallow fluff book.
What a fantastic collection of cookbooks, Melynda! I smiled when I saw the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook under your fondue cookbook - my late Mom's Better Homes and Gardens is one of my treasured cookbooks! Thank you for sharing this post with The Weekend Roundup. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get round to commenting - I've been getting ready for our holiday, and now I am visiting family back in Canada :) Thank you for linking up again this weekend. I'm looking forward to visiting your posts! Have a lovely weekend!
