Garden Tuesday

Last week, parts of Vancouver got 2 inches of hail in 5 minutes, yes 2 inches in 5 minutes. Granddaughter and I got soaked, caught in the hail and rain trying to get to the car, from after school care. Crazy, crazy wet weather.

But the blueberries are leafing out, a sure sign that better weather days are coming. Oh and blueberries for pie!

I would love some fresh blueberries. Nothing grows in Phoenix except weeds and cactus. Jealous once again.

Sorry about that Melynda, bad grammar! :o)

I meant to say that's an incredible amount of hail in such a short time and it must have hurt like heck!

I got a couple of blueberry plants for Mother's Day last year, and I just bought four more! Can't wait 'til they all start bearing. I think we got maybe two berries last year, but here's hoping. ha!

Melynda- do you have any tips on having a berry bush? This is our first season with one :)
