Monday night brights

I decided this evening to show how my family has given generously to my little blog hobby.

I have had a blast with this blog since receiving the digital camera from Son and family. This started the colorful fun. Before that, I am pretty sure only the kids read anything I put out there.
Sorry kids, it is impossible for me to take a picture of the camera with the camera, without getting myself in there by using a mirror. But that is the little jewel, courtesy of the Samsung website.

And now I have this great laptop to use in the kitchen, from Daughter and family.

I got to use this for last months Sunday Cafe, it made cooking fun and convenient. I did not have to run to the computer room between ingredients!

And this latest piece from my Honey, a new program-able crock pot!

I love the way this works, the lid is hatched down with less evaporation. Also you can tell the machine how long to cook, instead of the machine giving you 2 choices. Nice, very nice. I made a successful pot of beans today.

I could not do this without you guys! Thanks to you all!

Now some stuff around here,

Getting serious about compost. I have started a "lasagna" style plot on the side of the house.

The spent raspberries vines will be added soon, when these go through the mower a couple of time, there is not much left in the way of volume.

This weekend (09.04.10) was Honey's birthday, we went out on LU on Saturday, then on Sunday to the Waffle Window in Portland for breakfast, then on to Powell's books to roam, people watch and look at books. A nice quiet weekend Oh and I talked him into this.........

As always, thanks for taking a moment to stop and say hello. Hope your long weekend was the best!
